Striped bass, bluefish, bluefin tuna, and shark are among the exciting species of saltwater game fish found locally. Captain Ed Cestaro has lived and fished in Eastham and surrounding waters for over 40 years—so go Old School Charters and experience Cape Cod fishing at its finest!

We fish with light tackle so our trips are active and hands-on, and not spent just trolling. All of our trips are customized to meet your interests and experience. And with Old School Charters you have choices. You can fish aboard Mar, a 30’ Black Watch charter boat that leaves from Rock Harbor in Eastham; or fish in the marshes and bays aboard a 14’ aluminum boat; or fish from shore—surf casting along the Outer Cape beaches.

In 1964, Ed’s dad caught a monster striper in Cape Cod Canal while on vacation. A few weeks later his father packed the family up and moved them from Connecticut to the Cape Cod so he could fish all the time. Growing up in Eastham, Ed fished constantly with his father and learned all of his “old school” secrets. Ed enjoys sharing his knowledge and passion for fishing with all people—experienced fishermen, casual vacationers, or a family looking to get outside and try something new.

And don’t overlook freshwater fishing on the Cape; the kettle ponds are a well-kept secret. With over 365 ponds and lakes on Cape Cod, Captain Ed is the guide to show you where and how to experience spectacular freshwater fishing.

So, if you want to get out on the water and catch some fish (but not all the fancy attitude), contact Captain Ed for some “old school” fishing fun.
